Our Story
Uçkun Aktaş Öksüm Law Firm was established in Istanbul in 2025 by Av. Çağatay Aras Uçkun, Av. Latif Aktaş and Av. H. Bekir Öksüm. With a team of lawyers each concentrating on their own areas of practice, our firm provides advisory and representation services to clients in Turkey and abroad across different fields of law.
Our work spans commercial and corporate law, contract law, dispute resolution, real estate and lease law, inheritance law, data protection law, criminal law, and enforcement and bankruptcy law. For us, however, legal work is not confined to the technical boundaries of a single dispute or transaction. We assess each matter within its legal framework and in light of its commercial background, its sectoral context and the client's specific needs.
Our firm primarily works in Turkish and English, while also offering legal support in French and Arabic. In our work, we hold to communication that is clear and orderly. In our view, good legal work does not end with technically sound results; it must also be intelligible, timely and workable in practice.
Our starting point is a proper understanding of the client's needs. For this reason, we closely follow legislation and court decisions, as well as the sectors in which our clients operate, their ways of doing business, and the practical issues they face. We keep legal analysis grounded in the realities of life and commerce, and in every matter build a sound, workable framework that produces consistent results our clients can rely on over the long term.
